Ambedkar Jayanti, also known as Bhim Jayanti, is observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar, Indian politician and social reformer, in Sri Kinjarapu Yerrannaidu College of Agricultural Sciences (SKYCAS) on 14-04-2025. The Associate Dean of the College Dr.K.Mosha addressed the students and Faculty gathered and told the importance of Ambedkar in making the Constitution of India hence called as the ‘Father of the Indian Constitution’. He also highlighted that he is the first Law Minister of Independent India.

His birthday is also referred to as Equality Day by some in India as Dr Ambedkar spent his life fighting for the rights of women, labour, and oppressed communities in India – eradicating social discrimination and thereby advocating equality for all the citizens of India in the eyes of the law.
