The institution has developed a women’s protection cell on our campus for female staff and students to improve understanding of women’s issues and to make the educational institution a safe environment for them. The cell organizes and participates in seminars and discussions to raise knowledge of their rights and responsibilities, as well as to address women’s issues and challenges. It also allows women to discuss their experiences and perspectives on their social standing, as well as offer strategies to better and empower themselves. The cell aims to improve the intellectual and social well-being of female students by encouraging women’s empowerment through guest lectures, seminars, awareness programs, life skill programs, entrepreneur training, and other welfare activities.

Functions:

• Organizes awareness activities to prevent sexual harassment and misbehaviour against female students and faculty.
• The Women Protection Cell hears gender-related complaints from female students and faculty members, discusses them, and recommends suitable measures for the administration.
• Created awareness on use of Disha App developed by Govt. of AP for the protection  of women on World Women’s Day 08.03.2022.
